A view from One Vanderbilt, New York City, tourist attraction with views of Manhattan. The linocut print imaged is left reversed from the actual view, requiring the viewer to use a handheld mirror to see the image properly. The process in printmaking of numbering prints correlates to value. My use of randomly numbering copies, plus the act of having given away editions speaks to commerce, as do the print’s subject and the use of reflection/glass/mirror.
